The GENII approach is based upon identifying the job knowledge and skills required and producing a job profile across a range of competencies. This profile is then used to check the job holder's present knowledge and skills. The resultant gaps enable managers to clearly identify job related training and development. The employer then has the assurance that training and development expenditure is focussed on business and individual needs. |
